Dancing in the sunshine

Kew Gardens, yesterday

Enter the time machine for a moment...

1992 was a very hot summer, and dance music was predominant. I remember it well, but it certainly doesn't feel like twenty years since this was at the top of the charts in the UK!

Summer. I love it.

  3. There is something about certain songs that just shout "Summer", and this certainly is one...

Bring on more heatwaves! I like it when the pavements melt :-)

  4. I absolutely LOVE this picture of you with the wisteria. So effortlessly fabulous!

I've read mention of Kew Gardens in many a work of literature. Good to know it really exists!

My fave summer tune, by the way, is the 12" of Style Council's "Long Hot Summer". I listen to it over and over again. Sigh...

    1. "Long Hot Summer" remains one of my faves, too! Others that say "hot weather" to me include "Koop Islands" by Koop, "Vamos a la Playa" by Righeira, "Now is the Time" by Jimmy James and the Vagabonds, "Show Me The Way" by Frampton and of course the anthem of that long hot summer of '76, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton and Kiki... 6. Love the hat!

Toronto, as you probably know, has a Kew Gardens. Of course it was named after YOUR Kew Gardens. Canada is full of parks and streets named after your part of the world.

    1. If only it would last - at the moment we are back to grey and grizzly weather (and rain predicted for the Jubilee weekend - boo!). Never mind, I am sure there'll be other excuses to wear the Panama! Jx
